My Story by Larry LaFata:

Why my lifelong love for business marketing can help you to define your career

A lifelong passion for business marketing, applied to your Career Discovery

Larry Lafata

I am qualified to help you escape you boring, burnout job because I understand what makes for a satisfying career or business.  I say this because of my lifelong passion for business marketing.

Applying proven business marketing concepts to yourself as an individual, you can define your career like a business does and be rid of your underemployment and stress.

This is because a business knows its competitive advantages and its target market so it can operate smoothly and maximize revenues. When you can define these factors for yourself as an individual you are fulfilled in your work.

I know this personally because I have been passionate about business marketing for over 50 years.  I converted this passion into the basis for the Define Your Career Destiny self-assessment process. Let me take you back to the beginning.

It started when I was a little kid. Besides baseball I was fascinated with marketing. I sent away for every mail order offer I could find, on the back of cereal boxes, from ads in comic books and even matchbook covers.

I got the green lantern secret decoder ring from the coupon on the back of a Cheerios cereal box, I ordered those little sea horses that you put in water to make them come alive and start swimming from comic book ad, then Venus’s fly traps, stamps, coins, you name it.

By 10 years old, I was selling creepy crawlers for 25 cents in my 5th grade homeroom. By 17 years old I was offering handwriting analysis for $3.00 in the local newspaper.

I then got a university degree in Business Marketing and started a side hustle helping local businesses to better define their business to increase revenues.

Fast forward 10 years to when my daughter Julie graduated college, she wasn’t sure what career path to take. When we looked online, we found there was no book or course dedicated just to career discovery.

Why I founded

The turn of events that led me to create the define your career destiny course was when Julie took a personality test.

It showed she was an INTJ introvert, and a good job match would be Librarian, and she was in tears and said “No way dad do I wanna do that!”

I realized career tests such as personality tests and aptitude tests only put you into a box.

Personality tests can put you into a box

It was then the light bulb went off in my head, that I could apply business marketing principles to her as an individual.

I retooled some business self-assessments for her, she went through them, and a few years later she is now a happy, fulfilled and well-paid executive in the health care field.

And I have been developing innovative career discovery assessments and courses ever since.

So, when I say I can help you to define your career or business, I am talking from 50 years of passion, and 30 years of experience, education and entrepreneurship.

I hope my career discovery story can help you if you are stuck in a stressful, burnout job, that is painful because it is not a match for your talents.

Or if you are uncertain what career change to make after years in the same field,

If you are ready, when you are ready to make the transformation to your career destiny just go to Define Your Career .com and book a free coaching session.

You will be in good hands, because my mission is to help you manifest your mission, your Career Destiny.
